Reaction Attacks

A creature’s Reaction is spent to use their Reaction Attacks. A creature can use as many Reaction Attacks as they have Reactions. Reaction attacks are triggered whenever a combatant moves 1 meter or more away without disengaging, when a creature fires a Ranged Weapon while within Melee Range of enemy combatants, or when a creature “Rolls Initiative” while they are the target of a Standoff.

Melee Attacks

Spend an Attack Action to use a Melee Attack. Melee Attacks are any Attacks made with a Non-Ranged Weapon; they require the attacker to be at Melee Range(typically adjacent to the target) unless otherwise stated on the Item’s or Creature’s stat block.

Touch Attacks

Touch attacks are Attacks that simply require Physical Contact with the target rather than penetrating their Defenses. When making a touch attack you must be in melee range. Touch Attacks Ignore the Bonus AC granted by Armor and worn protective equipment other than Shields.

Threatening

Threatening Creatures are any Creatures on the Battle map with the Intention and Ability to Fight or do Harm. Bearing Arms, Raising Fists or Baring Claws and Teeth are all considered to be threatening. Ranged weapons are not threatening unless the user has Point Blank and thus the wielders are not granted opportunity attacks in melee combat. If an opposing creature moves 1 or more meters away in any Direction without Disengaging they provoke Reaction Attack(s) from any Creature(s) in Melee Range. Moving Around an Adversary without moving Away does not Provoke Reaction Attack(s).  

Reach

Creatures who have Reach have their Melee Range extended by 1-3 meters depending on their Reach classification. The three types are Reach I, II and III and extend melee range by 1, 3 and 5 meters respectively.

Disengaging

Spend 3 Meters of your Movement to safely Disengage from melee combat and move 1 meter away from threatening creature(s). Creatures that move without disengaging provoke opportunity attacks to all creatures in melee range during that movement.

Fleeing

If you use Sprint when Moving from threatened spaces, all Reaction Attacks vs you will be made with Disadvantage during the course of that Movement.
