:keystroke_logger()

Spyware that records all inputs the target types in, including: passwords, PINs and Subroutines.

Records every action the unit takes (movement, attacks, subroutine calls). If the target inputs network searches, console commands or types passwords, the user gains access to that information. Must access the device again to retrieve data.

  • Acquisition Cost: 4 XP | 30,000 Dollars | 300 Credits
  • Digital Noise Generated: 2
  • CODA Cost: 3
  • Requirements: Network Connection
  • Subroutine Traits: Implant Virus
  • Range: 100 Meters / Network
  • Target: An uninfected digital device, local network, cybernetically enhanced individual or robot.
  • Turn Portion: Action

Effect: The Target must Roll an Intellect Saving Throw. The DC is equal to your Subroutine Save DC.

Failure: If the Target Fails the Saving Throw they are infected with the “keystroke_logger” Virus, which has the following effects.

  • The infected device, individual or robot has all actions taken recorded by the virus and delivered to the infector. This includes: Any network search history, passcodes typed in, pin numbers entered, and any subroutines and console commands used.

This effect persists until the target is no longer infected.

You must use a Full Round Action to log in and access the device in order to gain the data gathered by ()keystroke_logger:.

Success: If the Target Succeeds on the Saving Throw they are unaffected and uninfected. The user’s Turn Portion and CODA are still spent.

Overpower: Spend 1 additional CODA to:

  • Add +2 to the Save DC for this instance of the Subroutine.
  • Add +25 Meters to this instance of the Subroutine’s Range.

You can overpower as many times and in as many ways as you can afford to do so.
