Target: A single sapient creature that can comprehend and understand your spoken or transmitted language(s).
Effect: Roll a Debate or Intimidate Skill Roll vs your Target's Emotional Awareness(EA)(your target’s Insight Skill Modifier + 10).
Hit: If your Skill Roll meets or exceeds their Emotional Awareness, that creature is dealt 3d8 + your CHA Modifier Non-lethal Psychic Damage.
Miss: If your Skill Roll does not meet or exceed their Emotional Awareness, the target is undamaged and unaffected.
Critical Hit: Critical Hits with this Maneuver cause the target acquire a new Psychological Quirk at random or chosen by the Narrator. They do not receive the XP rebate for this Quirk. The quirk cannot be removed until that creature achieves a Level Up.
Note: Targets that lack the mental capacity to be insulted, or are devoid of emotion, or are considered to be resistant to mental manipulation may be unaffected at Narrator discretion.
Overpower: Spend 1 additional Panache to:
- Add +2 to this Maneuver's Damage, or
- Add +5 Meters to this Maneuver's Range, or
- Add +2 to this Maneuver's Skill Roll.
