Trigger: When you or an ally within Range are targeted by a Ranged, Melee or Spell Attack, or a Spell or Maneuver that forces you to Roll a Saving Throw, you may activate this maneuver via an available Reaction. This maneuver should always be activated before the attack or spell's effects or damage are shared.
Effect: Roll a Debate, Deception or Intimidate Skill Roll vs your target's Emotional Awareness(EA)(your target’s Insight Skill Modifier + 10).
Hit: If your Skill Roll meets or exceeds your target’s Emotional Awareness:
- If it was Ranged, Melee or Spell Attack, that creature suffers a -2 Penalty to their next Attack Roll.
- If it was a Spell or Maneuver that caused you to Roll a Saving Throw, The DC for that spell or Maneuver suffers a -2 Penalty.
Miss: If your Skill Roll does not meet or exceed your target’s Emotional Awareness, they are unaffected.
Overpower: Spend 1 additional Panache to:
- Add an additional -1 Penalty to the Attack Roll or Spell/Maneuver DC this Maneuver imposes, or
- Add +5 Meters to this Maneuver's Range, or
- Add +2 to this Maneuver's Skill Roll.
