AI Entities are digital creatures that exist within data and can be housed within a device or network.

AI Entities

AI entities can typically only exist in high tech settings. They require a computer network or an extremely powerful individual computer in order to function and store their millions of terabytes of information. AI’s with network access or a broadcast device are capable of interacting with and gaining control of other computer operated devices such as security systems, robotic units and personal devices.

Trait - Non-Organic

You do not receive damage when you are dealt Poison, Venom, Toxic, Psychic or Necrotic Damage.*

You cannot gain benefits from food or drink. You cannot gain healing or effects from medicine, potions, poisons, poultices or salves.*

*Living bodies you inhabit can be dealt these damage types and be affected by food, medicine or potions as normal.

AI Housing Selection

Choose a housing type for your AI

Your housing will determine how your AI interacts with the world and how others perceive them, as well as determining a number of Traits, Abilities and Weaknesses.

Free Roaming AI Housing

Your program regularly moves from multiple unused systems at once to maintain anonymity and maintain a constant connection to the Network. Whenever you gain control of another unit you leave certain nodes of your AI core exposed. If that unit is Destroyed or Purged by a Security Protocol then parts of your core program is corrupted. Resulting in damage to your core self.

You do not require Sustenance or Sleep and you cannot suffer from the Tired, Drowsy, Sleepy or Suffocating Conditions. However it Takes 1d6+2 Hours to Repair 1d6 Points of Core Damage.

Ability - Roaming Connection

You can attempt to gain access to any computer connected to the network at any time using an Action. The security level of the computer you attempt to access will determine the DC. You must spend a brainstorm point and use your Engineering Skill whenever you’re attempting to gain access to another computer.

Once you have gained access you may attempt to gain control of the system using an Action. The Security Level of the computer you attempt to Control will determine the DC. You must spend a brainstorm point and use your Engineering Skill whenever you’re attempting to gain control of another computer.

You can break the connection to an accessed or controlled Computer via a Full Round Action or use an Action to spend a Brainstorm Point and immediately break the connection.

If a Computer you are currently controlling or accessing is Destroyed or Purged by a security protocol you receive 3d10 *Core Damage.

*Core damage is always subtracted directly from HP and cannot be avoided or reduced in any way.

As a roaming AI you cannot access your movement actions unless you are controlling a unit with movement capabilities.

You do not require sleep or sustenance. You cannot rest while controlling or accessing a Computer.

You do not possess physical attributes such as DEX and STR, however you do possess a CON Attribute.

Your DEX and STR only exist when you are controlling another computer operated device that possesses a STR or DEX.

You are considered to be Vulnerable to all Electrical Damage.

Single Unit AI Housing

A rare combination of strange code has resulted in your accidental rise to sentience. Your entire being is contained within a single device and cannot be transferred to any other.

You do not require Sustenance or Sleep and you cannot suffer from the Tired, Drowsy, Sleepy or Suffocating Conditions. However it Takes 1d6+2 Hours to Repair 1d6 Points of Core Damage.

All Single Unit AI Housings have the following 2 Traits and 1 Ability.

Trait - Electrical Vulnerability

You are considered to be Vulnerable to all Electrical Damage.

Trait - Singular Device

If your device in which you reside is destroyed beyond repair then your character dies as normal. Depending on your Setting and Network in game your data may still be recoverable.

The Security Level of the computer you attempt to access will determine the DC. Digital Device Selection

(Single Unit AI Housing Only)

Choose a Digital device within which your AI being resides. This choice will determine the limitations of your AI and how easily they can be concealed or travel.

Device - Cybernetic Implant

You reside inside the software of a functional and installable cybernetic implant.

You may attempt to control any creature in which your implant is installed.

Using an Action Make a D20 Roll and Add your Current Willpower to the Roll.

Your target will also make the same Roll.

If you Roll higher than the target you gain control of that Creature’s Actions and Abilities until the end of their next Turn.

Device - Vehicle

You reside inside the internal circuitry and software of a land, sea, air or space vehicle. You may acquire a Non-Military Vehicle of your Choice from a Current or Previous Buyers Guide Age.

Device - Personal Computer (PC)

You reside inside the internal circuitry and software of a personal computer, either a laptop or desktop, your choice. You may acquire a PC Digital Device from a Current or Previous Buyer's Guide at this time.

Device - Smartphone

You reside inside the internal circuitry and software of a smartphone. You may acquire a Smartphone Digital Device from a Current or Previous Buyer's Guide at this time.

Device - Tablet

You reside inside the internal circuitry and software of a tablet. You may acquire a Tablet Digital Device from a Current or Previous Buyer's Guide at this time.

Software Packets

During Character Creation you may use starting funds or XP to Purchase additional software packets that grant Skill, Weapon and Language Training and Enhancements. 20,000 Dollars is considered to be equivalent to 1 XP for the purposes of Software Acquisition.
